FIDEL FAYAD

Born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, Fidel Fayad is the second of four siblings whom are all artistically inclined. Born of a Lebanese father and a Syrian mother, Fidel grew up listening, appreciating and grasping the music of Wadih el-Safi and Sabah Fakhri which helped build a strong basis and foundation for his current singing abilities.

In 1990, Fidel migrated to the United States of America. Although his introduction as a singer took place in Lebanon while working with Marwan and Ghady Rahbani, Fidel's singing career blossomed in Los Angeles, California where he currently resides. Fidel brought with him a unique style that marked a turning point in Arabic music already established in the US. He incorporated modern instruments as well as the traditional ones in order to keep the same level of authenticity in his music. Known for his unique style and powerful voice, Fidel succeeded in gaining widespread popularity and support within his community.

Along with his achievements, Fidel holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science and also a Minor in Mathematics from the California State University in Northridge.

Aside from being a singer, Fidel is also a composer and song writer. His hopes are to continue on with his career and perhaps release his debut album in the near future.
